A supply charge is also known as a service to property charge or a standing charge.
This is the daily charge of getting your electricity supplied to your home and staying connected to the network. A supply charge is not dependent on how much energy you are using and is applied even if you do not use any electricity.
How is a supply charge calculated?
Your daily supply charge is determined by the distribution zone you live in. It is calculated against the number of days in your bill. For example, if your daily supply charge is 0.80 cents and your billing period is 31 days = (0.80 x 31=$24.8)
